This week, one of my fellow photographer friends had a beautiful baby boy! Alison Rose Williams is an incredible photographer who I met through the WPJA. Here is her website. I felt so lucky to photograph some of the highlights of the day. This birth was a lot different than some of the others I have done in the past. This birth was a planned cesarean. Although I wasn’t able to be present for the baby’s actual birth, Kirk (my friends incredible husband) went into the delivery armed with Alison’s camera. I hear he did a wonderful job, and I’m very excited to see what he got. In some ways, I think it’s rather fun that I was in the waiting area during the birth. I think it will be fun for Mom & Dad to see the anticipation in the hall.
I decided to convert the blog images to a toned black & white. I thought it would be fun since I haven’t done that in a while. I hope you enjoy!

Their beautiful girl wrote on Daddy’s scrubs. Such a great idea!

And in they go to delivery…

and here we wait…

I love the next two shots. Their daughter had been so patient, but she couldn’t wait to see her new baby brother.

But not to fear! Dad soon came to take a few of us back.

Alison & Kirk – Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your big day. What a blessing. I am so happy for both of you.
