SUPPORTING YOU IN SUPPORTING YOURSELF
Anginet is a certified Peer Support Specialist specializing in supporting those who struggle with mental health. Her wide array of lived experience connects her with others who have difficulties with self love, relationships, spirituality, trauma, mental diagnoses, hospitalizations, hearing voices, food addiction, and more.
Anginet offers one-on-one and group support to individuals who are taking steps to live a fuller life. She believes recovery is possible, and can be best described by the working definition of SAMHSA. “Recovery is a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.”
One of the major principles of peer support is that it is self-driven. This means individuals define their own goals and unique paths for wellness. To participate, someone must choose this for themselves. Once someone decides to engage in services, the goal is to support the individual on their path of choice.
As a participant, peer values are expected to be maintained. This includes; fostering hope, allowing for multiple truths to be present, maintaining confidently, mutual respect, and adhering to the code of conduct.
Anginet prefers to work with clients to set up a payment system which will allow accommodations for client needs. Individual sessions typically run $35.00 - $60.00 depending on length, location, and activities involved.
