EXPAND YOUR

KNOWLEDGE

Let's talk about alternative photo

education

Whether you are new to photography, or are looking to expand your skill set, I am here to help advance your journey.

My career in photography began with a sincere desire to create memorable images that would be cherished by generations to come. While the desire and creativity were there from the start, I lacked the knowledge and skill set I needed to create the profound imagery my heart desired. Like many creative types, I learn better by doing, and formal education presented difficult challenges for me. I often need to find alternative ways of gaining the knowledge I desire, and learning photography was no exception.

While I had some success educating myself through trial and error (and so many YouTube videos), I didn't find my stride until I began working with other photographers in the industry. Through mentorship and hands on training, I began to advance. I learned the mechanics of photography. Once this paired with my drive and creativity, something happened I hadn't expected. I won my first Photojournalist International Award. This was the proof I needed that success is possible for me through hard work, proper support, and training. I believe this is true for everyone.

It is with gratitude for the mentors within my own career, that now I offer what I have learned to help others reach their goals within the field.

education Sessions

1:1 Mentorship
One-on-one mentorship sessions are designed to meet students where they currently feel comfortable. The goal is to help students advance in ways they have personally identified as beneficial. Students may choose to meet with me for as many (or as few) sessions as desired. My hope is that you will outshine me quickly, and be ready to hit the ground (seriously, as photographers we spend a lot of time on the ground) shooting, editing, and reaching new heights.

Classroom

Classroom sessions rarely take place in a classroom, but in the field or a studio. While my goal is to help students connect with all aspects of photography in new ways, this is also an opportunity for photographers to connect with each other. Students may model for each other, share tips, and talk about their favorite TikTok outlandish discoveries.

Support in this field is essential, and it starts here. Specific classes are offered throughout the year. Keep an eye on my social media for classes being offered.
